Tri-City Christian School has a three ways it emphasizes leadership among it's students. 1) A leadership team which participates in weekly training, leadership projects, and leadership trips 2) Every 9th-12th grade student will have a 40 minute leadership class weekly in which they will study leadership concepts and hear community leaders speak. 3) Students have the opportunity to take part in leadership training through Student Leadership University (SLU) a program that trains next generation leaders through summer programs that take place in Orlando (101), Washington DC (201) and Paris/ London (301). There are also opportunities for school year trips with 101 in Orlando during April and Dr. Phil Johnson with the International Student Leadership Institute to other countries during the school year. |
Our motto based on SLU 101 is that you will be the same person you are today, five years from now except for the people you meet, the places you go, and the books you read. |
Students have been involved in life changing activities through our leadership program. Our ETC Leadership team works on a point basis to graduating levels of leadership. Points accumulate through books read, seminars, special community and mission projects, and leadership trips. Last year's ETC team president, Kristen Bearfield, received the YMCA Teen Character Award and won the Hogue Scholarship and the Prudential Spirit of Community Award.

The Christian Day School should operate as an arm
of the local church, working in harmony with what is being taught in the Christian home. The home, the church, and the school should be in agreement and supportive of each other.
